Eodo Pty Ltd were engaged by Delta Electricity to construct a 7km brine waste water pipeline from Wallerawang power station to Mount Piper Power Station. The works included:
  • Construction of 7 km waste water pipeline and associated pump station
  • Survey, environmental management, route clearing
  • Services relocation
  • Major road and rail infrastructure using under boron up to 50m
  • Pipe laying 7 kilometres of 250 dia high pressure brine carrying rising main pipework across a pipe route over water charged swamp, mountainous and rocky terrain- through protected aboriginal heritage areas including line testing to 2000 kPa
  • Pump station construction and major pump installation
  • Structural steel supply and installation
  • Pressure vessel import and installation
  • Specialized valve importation and installation including fail safe valves
  • Remote solar power supply
  • 50m pipe bridge aerial crossing for pipe work
  • PLC, instrumentation and control supply and installation
  • Electrical services supply and installation
  • Works carried out within a fully operational power station infrastructure on Delta Electricity sites, crossing onto Springvale operational coal mine site- laying pipe beside and under operating coal conveyors that supplied the Mount Piper power station, the high risk works were carried out under mines and power station WHS regulations
  • The initial construction programme time was shortened by 40% to allow Delta Electricity to meet they EPA commitments.
